Our Passion for Music
Crossfire Country, founded by Scotty Batten, a proud Greene County native and Albemarle High School graduate whose deep-rooted passion for traditional country music shines through every performance. More than just a musician, Scotty embodies a servant’s heart — always dedicated to giving back to his community and helping anyone in need.
With over 11 years of experience in public safety, serving in the fire service, emergency medical services, 911 dispatch, and law enforcement, along with 7 years as a funeral service provider, Scotty’s life is a true testament to compassion and commitment.
His musical journey reached new heights in 2022, when he won the Old Dominion Barn Dance Talent Search Competition, earning him a place as a Cast Vocalist with the legendary Old Dominion Barn Dance in 2024.
Through Crossfire Country, Scotty continues to keep the spirit of authentic country music alive, blending heartfelt stories, traditional sounds, and a genuine love for people in every show.
